The vision
"Luxe, calme et voluptu — she paints the world the way she wants to see it. A world of peace. A world that works."

Jill Karlin is a painter, architect, and eco-activist. Her life's work — EKOTECTURE — is a philosophy of environmental architecture conceived with her late husband Lee. She has spent three decades painting that vision: vibrant oils of dolphins, whales, and coral reefs that aren't just beautiful — they're blueprints for a healed planet.

The Edinburgh Fringe 2026 show is a tribute to Lee — the architect, the visionary, the man who believed beauty and sustainability are the same thing. The story behind the show
