The trees are still speaking.
The Earth is alive.

The story behind the show

Their true extraordinary love story.

When artist Jill Karlin falls in love with visionary architect Lee Porter Butler, they embark on an extraordinary journey to protect nature and imagine a new way for humanity to live on Earth.

Through humor, heartbreak, synchronicity, and environmental activism, Jill shares a remarkable tale of romance, resilience, and hope.

What you’ll experience

Two art forms,
one stage.

01 · Spoken word

Storytelling, not a lecture.

Jill walks the audience through Lee’s vision, the founding of Ekotecture, the loss, the years that followed, and the dolphins that called her back to the work. Memoir-driven. Plain language. No fourth wall.

02 · Original art

A working gallery.

A selection of Jill’s paintings — ocean, dolphins, Ekotecture studies — line the venue. Originals available by inquiry. Signed prints from the Etsy shop on hand.
